How the bail bond process works

What is a bail bond?

“Bail” is a cash deposit or pledge to a court in order to persuade it to release a suspect from jail, with the understanding that the suspect will return for trial or forfeit the bail (and possibly be brought up on charges of the crime of failure to appear).

For this service, the defendant is charged a premium. By involving the family and friends of a defendant, the bail agent can be reasonably assured that the defendant released on a surety bond will appear at all of his/her court appearances.

After this procedure is completed, the bail agent will post a bond for the full bail amount, financially guaranteeing the defendant’s return to court as scheduled.

The Bail Bond Process

After an inmate has been fully booked, a bail amount will be determined for his or her release. After the bail amount has been set you can call one of our professional bail bond agents to start the bail bond process and help your friend or loved one “post bail.”

A bail agent is a person permitted to solicit, negotiate, and affect undertakings of bail on behalf of any surety insurer. The bail bond process does not take long after the inmate has been fully booked.  We make it very easy for you to do the “paperwork” online from the comfort of your home or office.
